Music Collections<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Think of our collections as being more like albums than just sets lists. Like a set, they are a collection of songs we play between breaks. Like an album, they are coherent lists of songs that span about fifty minutes each. They start out upbeat, mix in a few slower and mid-tempo pieces and then swing back up again to end on an up-tempo and impactful piece. Each collection stands alone, like an album or set.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we play for an evening, we’ll play a couple of collections. Hosts and venues can work with us regarding which collections to play. We will oblige as best as we are able.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nova Notes<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Nova Notes (or New Notes) is a collection of swinging melodies including I’ve Got The World On A String<\/em>, Fly Me To The Moon<\/em> and The Lady Is A Tramp<\/em>. It is our most up beat collection and contains many recognizable tunes. Get the details here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glass Squares<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Filled with plenty of up-tempo pieces, Glass Squares features a nice intensity curve throughout the collection. It contains less known (by today’s standards) but still very popular songs such as Dina<\/em>, Nice N Easy<\/em> and Cheek To Cheek<\/em>. This collection is named after the windows in a skyscraper. Blue Horses<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the open spaces, the never ending plains. Horses coming riding over the horizon; beautiful and glorious. What’s that emotion? Well, in Blue Horses we try to capture that very feeling. You’ll find songs like That Old Black Magic<\/em>, Pennies From Heaven<\/em> and Sentimental Journey<\/em>. Read more here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Old Flames<\/a><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Old love; distant memories – some bad, most good. The heart remembers in a way that the mind does not. In Old Flames we offer songs like All Of You<\/em>, My Funny Valentine<\/em> and All The Way<\/em>. This is a collection of love songs mixed with a bit of revenge tunes to keep things interesting. On each collection’s page, you’ll find thematic artwork along with some demo tracks of songs that that collection contains. These songs represent how they’ll sound being played live; simply an acoustic guitar and vocals. We rotate these demo songs on a semi regular basis, so check back periodically to see if there is something new that you haven’t heard yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
